All about families at ATCO Head Start

Last week the children in Ms. Amy’s and Ms. Katie’s classroom covered the meaning of families. The children discussed what makes up a family, how they’re important to one another, and shared family pictures. Students were able to make houses out of various shapes to resemble what their future home would look like, and display their family’s all-about-us information page. Teachers also used this time to talk about how together we are a school family. Children were able to learn about how we look after one another, and the importance of being a team player in the classroom setting.
