The Tarkio High School Winter Homecoming candidates are, from left to right, Hannah Blank, Colin Joesting, and Tawni Martin. King Colin and his queen will be crowned Friday, December 15, following the EA basketball games in Fairfax.

East Atchison is hosting its “Winter Wonderland” Homecoming Friday, December 15, 2017. The homecoming basketball games will be held in Fairfax and will be played against Nodaway-Holt starting at 5 p.m. Kings and queens from Tarkio High School and Fairfax High School will be crowned following the games.

To go along with the overall theme of “Winter Wonderland,” Tarkio High School classes have picked the following Holiday themed movies:
Seniors – “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”; Juniors – “Elf”; Sophomores – “Home Alone”; Freshmen – “A Christmas Carol”; 8th Graders – “Christmas Vacation”; 7th – “Polar Express”
The Tarkio students will participate in the following dress up days:
Wednesday – Your Favorite Christmas Character
Thursday – Christmas Hats or Headgear
Friday – Wolf Friday
Tarkio High School Class Contests include: Monday – Banana Relay; Tuesday – Dodge Ball; Wednesday – Basketball Shooting Relay; Thursday – Auditorium Christmas Trivia; and Friday – Lip Sync Battle and Cheerleaders perform.

A pep rally will be held at Fairfax at 1:30 p.m. on Friday and a student dance will follow the game Friday night in the gym.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and cheer on the Wolves in their athletic events and support our local students in their homecoming celebrations!
