The high school choir sang “Jolly Jingle Christmas Medley” by Alan Billingsley, “Snow” by Kenneth Riggs, and “The Christmas Shoes” (senior request), arranged by Ed Lojeski. The high school band played “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)(senior request), arranged by Larry Kerchner, “All is Well,” arranged by Michael Brown, “Christmas at the Movies,” by John Moss, “O Holy Night,” arranged by Paul Clark, and “Feliz Navidad,” by Victor Lopez.

 

The Fairfax R-3 Pre K-12 Christmas Program was a festive event held December 18, 2017, in the Fairfax High School Gym.
The 5th/6th grade choir sang “Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow,” arranged by Roger Emerson, and “We’re Goin’ on a Sleigh Ride” by Greg Gilpin. The Pre-K students sang “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “Jingle Bells,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” Preschoolers include Adilynn Bates, Aspyn Fast, Wendy Hurst, Zachary Koop, Ava Oswald, Ryann Salmond, Joel Vance, and Parker Woodring. The 5th Grade Band played “Rollin’ Along,” “Jingle Bells” by Pierpont, “Twinkling Stars” by Mozart, and “Jolly Old Saint Nick” by Tradotopms. The 6th Grade Band played “Ode to Joy” by L.V. Beethoven, “Joy to the World Christmas Carol”, and “Colors of Christmas” (with the jr. high band), arranged by Robert W. Smith. The 5th grade includes KayDee Duering (French horn), Kendall Kingery (trumpet), Lillie Mason, Cowen O’Riley (alto sax), Grace Oswald (clarinet), Bryson Palmer (trumpet), Alicia Ramirez, Blake Simmons (trombone), Luke Swinehart (percussion), Clayton Vernon (percussion), Wyatt Wolfe (baritone), Velvet Williams (flute), and Payton Woodring (clarinet). The 6th grade includes Collin Hedlund (percussion), Trenton Kingery (trombone), Ty Kirkland (baritone), Sam Litherbury, Chloe Potts (clarinet), Destiny Smith (percussion), Jasey Smith (clarinet), Zack Stevens, Kendal Straub, and Owen Wolfe (tuba).
The kindergarten through fourth grades performed “A Holiday Moosical.” Performers included: Kindergarten – Kaylee Allen, Geb Burke, Zander Grossman, Dominick Hawkins, Lincoln Hogue, Emma Ohlensehlen, Delaney Oswald, Mackenzie Oswald, Gabe Rhoades, Ben Umbarger, Alex Wintz, Ryan Wolfe, and Lela Wright; 1st grade – Deyton Burke, Marley Eyman, Avery Fast, Gabriella Hogue, Brenna Kingery, Riley Koop, Jude Long, Aliyah Pearce, and Mason Rentchler; 2nd Grade – Ace Allen, Avery Alvarez, Ian Brown, Lataveon Brown, Tyler Duering, Carley Graham, Leila Knight, Knox Oswald, Jaxson Smith, Brady Umbarger, Emma Vance, and Ryder Wolfe; 3rd Grade – Erin Eyman (Sugar Plum Fairy), Trent Frohn (Reindeer), Mason Kingery (Reindeer), Connor Miller (Snow Bird), Piper Morris (Baby New Year), Carter Oswald (Christmas Tree), Johnathon Pickard (Toy Soldier), Tycen Skeen (Elf), Alex Martin (Elf), and Chloe Vernon (Christmas Tree); and 4th grade – Cyle Gilpin (Toy Soldier), Austin Helfers (Father Time), Joaquin Hill (Snowman), and Tate Johnson (Marty Moose).

The jr. high band performed “Christmas Encore” arranged by Robert W. Smith, “An Austrian Carol” arranged by Robert Sheldon, and “A Crazy Mixed Up Christmas Concert” by David Shaffer. Jr. high band members include: flutes – Natalie Hedlund and Sadie Williams; alto sax – Raegan Crowley; baritone – Gaven Talty and Tony Skeen; tuba – Braden Graves; clarinets – Stormie Wallace; trumpet – Olivia Morris and Cameron Oswald; trombone – Haley Garrison; and percussion – Cody Frohn, Hayden Riley, and Georgia Swinehart.
