Fairfax R-3 receives donations for Project Lead the Way

The Fairfax R-3 School District received a much appreciated donation from both the Morgan Trust and the Dean C. Curnutt Trust to go towards the school district’s purchase of the new science curriculum. Fairfax R-3 has been raising funds in hopes of purchasing a hands-on, technology based science curriculum titled Project Lead the Way. The Morgan Trust has donated $2,000 and the Dean C. Curnutt Trust has donated $25,000 towards the school’s efforts!
Due to the generous contributions from these two trusts, the Fairfax R-3 School District has begun the purchase of its technology and science curriculum.  Initially, the school was hoping to be able to start a small implementation of this curriculum in the spring. However, due to generous donations throughout the local communities, the school is going to be able to begin a full implementation following the winter break. Supplies are being purchased and teachers are beginning professional development training to help them fully implement the curriculum.
The school would like to not only thank the Morgan and Dean C. Curnutt Trusts, but everyone who has thus far contributed to the school! It is great to live in such  wonderful and generous communities!
