Just a normal day of golf at the Tarkio Golf Course for David Alitz, right, of Rock Port, Missouri, turned into a very lucrative one when he hit a hole-in-one on hole #6 Sunday, July 15, 2018. Alitz used a 3 wood for his lucky shot. As part of Grinnell Mutual’s insurance package with the golf course, they provide a $1,000 check to golfers who hit holes-in-one and meet certain criteria (the winning shot must be made during a club-sponsored or approved tournament at this course, the selected hole must be a minimum of 150 yards, and the hole-in-one must be witnessed by a designated official of the golf course at the hole). Presenting him with the check was Kelly Rohlfsen with Colfax Insurance Agency of Tarkio.
