The Piecemakers Quilt Guild met October 3, 2017, at Community Hospital-Fairfax at 7 p.m. with 14 present.
Bev opened the meeting and roll call was answered with each telling a quilting term they know and use. There were some interesting answers: “Help,” “UFO,” “PIGS” and “Walk Away.”
Jean read the minutes and they were approved.
Karen gave the treasurer’s report and it was approved.
For old business we discussed our Row by Row Christmas quilt that is “kind of on hold.”
For new business we discussed plans for our May meeting with Maryville. We set up committees: decoration, food, games, crafts, and invitation. Our theme will be about “Prairie Days.”
Sharon won the fat quarters.
Our program was given by Bev and Donna H.: Disappearing 4 Patch in a Star. It sounds complicated but was really easy. Thanks girls.
For Show and Tell Donna R. had a jelly roll quilt, Diana had a scrap quilt and Susan had a cat quilt.
The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served.
The November 7 meeting will be at 5 p.m.at Community Hospital-Fairfax. Come join the fun and enjoy seeing the projects in Show and Tell.
