Pictured are Pleasant View’s Valentine’s Day King and Queen, Harry Hamilton and Imogene Scott.

King and Queen coronation at Pleasant View Nursing Home was held at 11 a.m. on Valentine’s Day. The 2017 King and Queen were chosen by penny ballot the previous week with proceeds going to the residents’ activity fund. Reigning King Harry Hamilton and Queen Imogene Scott were each presented with a Valentine’s stuffed animal, candy and balloons. Following the coronation, a special Surf and Turf lunch was enjoyed by residents and staff in celebration of Valentine’s Day. The menu consisted of rib eye steak, butterflied shrimp, baked potato, honey carrots, homemade dinner rolls and red velvet white chocolate chip cookies.
At bingo that afternoon there were bonus prizes for the first and last bingo of the day. During the afternoon, residents also enjoyed homemade cookies baked with love by staff members Kaci Burke and Alex Snyder. Thanks to all who made Valentine’s Day a special day for our residents at Pleasant View Nursing Home.
