Watson News

By Kay Gibson

The Watson Quilters met Thursday night with Holly Holmes, Teresa and Jim Hickok, Fran Phillips, Donna Whelan, Francis Nahkunst, and Nadine Fender attending. The girls were doing their own thing Wednesday night.  I won a roll of batting from “The Warm Company” and a few volunteers and I will be making some quilts for the hurricane/fire victims. A big thank you to those who volunteered. We actually got a few baby quilts/ receiving blankets made. Those girls were Holly Holmes, Rosita Stoner, Gloria Dittberner, and myself.
The annual Watson picnic has been cancelled this year due to conflicting schedules.
THE RACE WILL BE WON?
Did you ever have your car in park and rev up the motor? Your motor is racing, but you are not going anywhere. That’s the way I felt Wednesday night when I woke at 2 a.m. My motor woke me running 150 miles per minute. I don’t know what caused it and may never know. I do know I can’t run too many races like that or my race will be run.
