The Commission met on Thursday, July 7, 2016. Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood; North District Commissioner David P. Chapin; and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission. South District Commissioner Richard Burke was absent.
Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills were reviewed, approved and ordered paid.
Monthly department reports were reviewed and approved.
Emergency Management Director Rhonda Wiley reported via phone on the extensive damage around the county, especially the community of Fairfax, due to the storm that passed through during the night. Fairfax has appointed her temporary Emergency Director for the City so she can help coordinate State assistance.
Presiding Commissioner Livengood and North District Commissioner David Chapin traveled to Fairfax to assist with damage assessment.
The commission adjourned.
