The faculty and staff at Fairfax R-3 would like to invite families to their annual back-to-school night on Tuesday, August 16. The school feels it is important to have a successful start to the school year and they realize that a key component to a student’s achievement is having support at home.
This back-to-school night will give parents the opportunity to talk with their child’s teacher and get an idea of the expectations their son or daughter will have during the 2016-2017 school year. The school believes that good communication between teachers and parents is of utmost importance and this serves as a great way for parents and teachers to get together so they can all do their best in the education of the children.
Teachers will have an organizational meeting with the parents during a specified 30-minute block of time. Teachers will go over rules, regulations, and other pertinent information about their class. Teachers will also be available to answer questions anyone may have. Please be sure to show up at the starting time as teachers will be going over information with parents as a group. Class meeting times are listed below and there will be playground supervision for children. The school encourages everyone to attend this important event.
Starting times are:
6:00 – 6:30 p.m. – Kindergarten, first and second grades
6:30 – 7:00 p.m. – Third and fourth grades
7:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Fifth and sixth grades
The Title I room will be open to visit throughout the evening, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
