The Atchison County Commission met August 4 and 9, 2016, at the Atchison County Courthouse in Rock Port, Missouri.
AUGUST 4–
Present were: Curtis Livengood, Presiding Commissioner; David P. Chapin, North District Commissioner; Richard Burke, South District Commissioner; and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills were reviewed, approved and ordered paid.
Department month-end reports were reviewed and approved.
The commissioners discussed the Missouri Farmers Care Agri-Ready Program.
Clerk Taylor reported that everything went smoothly at the polls on Tuesday with a 26% voter turnout.

The commissioners discussed the Missouri Farmers Care Agri-Ready Program, and voted to complete the application to seek the Missouri Farmers Care Agri-Ready designation.
Rhonda Wiley, Emergency Management Director, reported on department matters.
The commissioners went out to inspect county roads and check on the brush pile from the storm at Fairfax.
