For the past several months, ACDC has been working with Midwest Data to overhaul our website and create a county-wide resource that will provide better information to area newcomers, potential businesses, and existing residents. For the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting important aspects of our site and would ask that you visit www.atchisoncounty.org and let us know how we can make it even more useful to you. First and foremost is our Find a Business feature, which can be accessed from the top of the main page. We all know how important it is to support our local businesses, but many of us have limited knowledge about what is available locally. On the Find a Business page, you can search by keyword (examples: flowers, safety inspection, insurance, restaurant) and find a list of the businesses in the county that offer that item or service. Though we have worked diligently to provide all possible keywords for each business, we will have overlooked some. When you find that a search result leaves out a pertinent business, please contact us (660-744-6562; atchdev@rpt.coop) and we’ll correct it. As you go about your daily lives, we hope that the Find a Business feature will help you locate what you need more quickly and will allow you take better advantage of what Atchison County businesses have to offer.
