The Brownville Historical Society is partnering with Scrap Central of Omaha to accept non operable holiday lights for recycling. Coordinator Kellie Kennedy said the money generated from the recycling of the lights will be placed in the Preserving our Past/Protecting our Future Campaign to help sustain the historical properties in Brownville.
The drop off receptacle is located behind the Sage Museum at 213 Main Street, Brownville. Any insulated wire, like all sizes of power cords is acceptable as well. Please no bags, packaging or garland, she concluded.
