Terry & Twyilla Gibbons of Westboro were the winners of the Adirondack chair/bench combo.

The Rock Port Chamber Christmas Mall was another success this year. With several vendors signed up the chances of winning a door prize were good. The event was held on Saturday, December 3 at the Atchison County Memorial Building.
The “Tour of Trees” was beautifully displayed for all guests to see up on the balcony. In the tree decorating contest the $100 first place went to Nichole Wallace, second place and winner of $50 was the 3rd Grade Class and third place and winner of $25 belonged to the American Legion. Terry & Twyilla Gibbons of Westboro were the winners of the Adirondack Chairs and Tierra Stoner of Rock Port was this years $500 Chamber Bucks Winner.
Upstairs, while waiting for Santa to arrive, children of all ages were seen at “Santa’s Workshop” with the Beta Gals decorating cookies, making reindeer food, making ornaments for their trees or Christmas cards to send up to Pleasant View Nursing Home.
Once Santa arrived the kids were lined up ready to tell him their Christmas wishes which consisted of anything from a donkey to an American Girl Doll. As the last child said farewell to Santa, he packed up his bags and headed up to visit the residents at Pleasant View Nursing Home.
With this year’s event being as successful as it was, the Rock Port Community and Chamber are excited to see what 2017 brings.
