The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that 600,000 people die from heart disease each year. Heart disease can be preventable and CH-F wants to help you know your numbers and your risk.
On Friday, February 24, 2017, Community Hospital-Fairfax (CH-F) will be offering a FREE heart screening event at Community Hospital-Fairfax from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Attendees will be offered the opportunity to receive a free cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure and body composition check. Glucose, blood pressure and body composition results will be provided immediately while cholesterol results will be mailed within a day of the event.
Understanding your numbers is a key component of calculating heart disease risk. Attendees will have the opportunity to sit down face to face with the CH-F staff and discuss results and ask questions about topics such as sleep apnea and healthy diets.
Fasting is required for best results. Attendees are requested to fast for 9 to 12 hours prior to attending the event. A light breakfast will be available for those who need to return to work.
Questions about this event may be directed to Ann Schlueter at (660) 686-2317 or AnnS@FairfaxMed.com. More information is available on the CH-F website at www.FairfaxMed.com
