The Commission met on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood; South District Commissioner Richard Burke; and North District Commissioner Jim Quimby. Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission, was attending the monthly Missouri Association of Counties board meeting in Jefferson City.
Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills were reviewed, approved and ordered.
Road and Bridge Supervisor Adam Meyer, was present for the 9 a.m. bid opening for a 2003 Freightliner FL70 single axle Davis dump truck. There was only one bid submitted in the amount of $35,500 from Eddie McCormick, Custom Truck and Equipment.
Following review of the bid and discussion, South District Commissioner Richard Burke made a motion to accept the bid. North District Commissioner Jim Quimby seconded the motion. Presiding Commissioner Livengood called for further discussion, there being none, a roll call vote to accept the bid was as follows: Burke – yes; Quimby – yes and Livengood – yes.
There being no further business to come before the commission, the commission adjourned.

Month-end reports from the collector and the Sheriff’s Department were reviewed and approved.
South District Commissioner Richard Burke made a motion to add North District Commissioner James Quimby to the signature cards for accounts held at Citizens Bank & Trust. Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood seconded the motion and called for discussion. There being none a roll call vote to approve the signature changes was as follows: Burke – yes; Livengood – yes; Quimby – abstained. Clerk Taylor prepared the letter for all signatures needed for approval for the bank.
The commissioners went out to inspect roads.

At 9 a.m. two bids were opened and read for a 2017 John Deere Signature Series X738 Lawn Tractor. Bids were from AgriVision Equipment Group, LLC, Hamburg – $9,593.10 and Hiawatha Implement, Mound City – $9,750 Maintenance Supervisor Greg Beck reviewed both bids and reported to the Commission that both bids were according to specifications. North District Commissioner Jim Quimby made a motion to accept the low bid from AgriVision Equipment Group, LLC. Presiding Commissioner Curt Livengood seconded the motion and called for further discussion. There being none a roll call vote to accept the bid was as follows: Quimby – yes; Livengood – yes; Burke – absent.
Ben Aldrich with Murphy Tractor & Equipment presented the documents for the purchase and warranty of the John Deere Loader for the Road & Bridge Department. Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood signed all the necessary documents as required.
The Commissioners, Clerk and Treasurer all signed a new signature card at Citizens Bank & Trust.

Clerk Taylor and Deputy Deanna Beck traveled to Maryville for training given by the State Tax Commission on the newly updated quarterly reimbursement forms.
Commissioner Burke and Commissioner Quimby went out to inspect 911 signs and roads.
