The Commission met on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. Present were:, Presiding Commissioner Curt Livengood; South District Commissioner Richard Burke; and North District Commissioner James Quimby. Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission was attending a Missouri Association of Counties Executive Board Meeting.
Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills were reviewed, approved and ordered paid. Monthly department reports were reviewed and approved.
The commission approved disputing an invoice to American Boiler Company for labor in the amount of $11,436.78 for repairs. The problem was related to a pinched seal. The boiler was installed by American Boiler and the Commission felt the pinched seal was no fault of the county but would have be related to the initial installation. A letter was forwarded to the company addressing this matter.
Road and Bridge Supervisor Adam Meyer, was in to discuss department matters.

The Commission met on Thursday, July 13, 2017. Present were:, Presiding Commissioner Curt Livengood; South District Commissioner Richard Burke; and North District Commissioner James Quimby. Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission was attending a work session with the Secretary of State’s Office at the Capitol.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills were reviewed, approved and ordered paid.
Regular session was adjourned to open the Board of Equalization Hearing.
Following the Board of Equalization, Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the regular meeting back into session.
Road and Bridge Supervisor Adam Meyer was in to discuss rock placed on Gerald Vawter’s road. North District Commissioner Jim Quimby made a motion to reimburse Mr. Vawter $702.48 for rock that was prepaid and not applied. Motion was seconded by South District Commissioner Richard Burke. Presiding Commissioner Livengood called for further discussion, there being none, a roll call vote to approve the reimbursement was as follows: Livengood – yes; Burke – yes and Quimby – yes.
Adam reported to the commission that “S” Avenue has not had CART rock applied yet. A citizen felt it was missed. It is a shared section of road between the Atchison County Special and the Tarkio Road Districts. Tarkio has rocked their section so it appeared to be unfinished.
Deputy Rick Sons presented an accident report that he was involved in in the County vehicle. It has been reported to insurance.

The Atchison County Commission met on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Present were: South District Commissioner Richard Burke; North District Commissioner James Quimby; and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission. Presiding Commissioner Curt Livengood was absent.
South District Commissioner Richard Burke called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Bills were reviewed, approved and ordered paid.
Clerk Taylor presented notification from Monica Bailey, Atchison County Development Director, requesting that Karma Coleman be appointed to fill the unexpired term of Steve Klute to serve on the Enhanced Enterprise Zone Board of Directors. South District Commissioner Richard Burke made a motion to appoint Karma Coleman to the EEZ Board. Motion was seconded by North District Commissioner James Quimby. South District Commissioner Richard Burke called for further discussion, there being none, a roll call vote to approve the appointment was as follows: Burke – yes; Quimby – yes; Livengood – absent.
Clerk Taylor presented an Agricultural Risk Coverage contract to the Commission as requested by Corey Lesher, FSA County Executive Director, for a signature. The contract is for acres rented by Mark McKenney and James Ottmann. The document was reviewed and signed by South District Commissioner Richard Burke.
