PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, on behalf of the City of Rock Port, we wish to extend our sincere condolences over the passing of Dr. Gary R. Powell; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Gary R. Powell’s death leaves our community with a deep feeling of sorrow for the loss of such an honored and respected citizen; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Gary R. Powell was an active member of the Rock Port business community as the owner of Powell Chiropractic Clinic; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Gary R. Powell provided 46 years of chiropractic care for the Rock Port community since the opening of his business in 1971; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Gary R. Powell also served this community as an active member of the City of Rock Port Board of Public Works, City of Rock Port Planning Commission, Rock Port Chamber of Commerce, and Rock Port Rotary Club; and
WHEREAS, our community is grateful for his many contributions to our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Rock Port in recognition of Dr. Gary R. Powell’s contributions to our community and its citizens, we hereby express our deep appreciation for his service to our community and extend to his family our sincere sympathy upon his passing.
