The Rock Port Tourism Board met Monday, August 7, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. at Rock Port City Hall.  Members present were Mike Farmer, Billy Thomas, Chris Shimmel, Holly Huntley, Jody VanSickle, Denton Melvin and Tami Lansdown.  Members absent were Angela Mace and Malisa Linthicum.
Chairman Denton Melvin called the meeting to order.
Mike Farmer moved to approve the meeting agenda.  Holly Huntley seconded.  All votes aye.
Holly Huntley moved to approve the July 6, 2017, meeting minutes. Billy Thomas seconded.  All votes aye.
Billy Thomas moved to approve the July 2017 financials.  Mike Farmer seconded.  All votes aye.
The OFSN Ball Drop will be held Saturday, September 16.  There will be two drops of $125/drop.  Denton and Tami will count the balls.
Angela has ideas for the Fall Family Night and will discuss at the next meeting.
The 4th Annual Quilt Show and Vendor Market is scheduled for October 28th.  Tami reported that there are 25 vendors to date.
Jody has an idea for a band for Old Fashioned Saturday Night.  The City Limit Band plays country, rock and oldies.  The total cost is $1,200.  Jody will pay ½ of the cost of the band.  Chamber approval will be needed.  Outlets and advertisement outside the area will be needed.  Jody will get approval from the Rock Port Chamber.  Mike will check with the Memorial Building for power.
Mike Farmer moved to pay ½ of the City Limit band expense in the amount of $600 for OFSN.  Chris Shimmel seconded.  All votes aye.
Holly Huntley moved to set the next meeting date for August 28, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.  Mike Farmer seconded.  All votes aye.
