Rock Port High School will celebrate “A Magical Homecoming” September 25 – 29, 2017.
Homecoming dress-up days are: Monday – Monsters University (wear college gear); Tuesday – Sleeping Beauty Day (wear pajamas); Wednesday – Disney Day (dress up as your favorite Disney character); Thursday – Ohana Day (dress in Hawaiian clothes); Friday: Blue and White Day. Thursday is also “free hat day.” Students can pay $1 to their student council representative to wear a hat.
Blue Jay fans will get in the spirit at the Homecoming Parade and pep rally on Friday, Sept. 29, before the Blue Jays take on the Southwest Livingston Wildcats.
The 2017 homecoming coronation will follow the football game. Attendants for “A Magical Homecoming” are: 7th Grade – Micah Makings, son of Shawn and Debbie Makings, and Mikayla Makings, daughter of Shawn and Debbie Makings; 8th Grade – Colten Stevens, son of Todd and Tricia Stevens, and Kierstyn Jakub, daughter of Jeff and Stephanie Jakub; 9th Grade – Remington Stoner, son of Gary and Carrie Stoner, and Alivia Baucom, daughter of Justin and Elinor Baucom; 10th Grade – Ethan Brumbaugh, son of Jeremy Golden and Doug and Libby Weber, and Marisa Carder, daughter of Kirbi Carder and Andrea Carder; 11th Grade – Brett Gayler, son of Rhonda Gayler, and Riley Vogler, daughter of Phil and Jennifer Vogler.
Queen candidates are: Catyn Chamberlain, daughter of Chris Chamberlain and Lesli Fila; Kaycee Davis, daughter of Kelly and Di Davis; and Abbie Hale, daughter of Trevor and Cassie Hale.
King candidates are: Dalton Brake, son of Kim Brake; Ryan Dewhirst, son of Rich and Linda Dewhirst; and Caden Linthicum, son of Chuck and Malisa Linthicum.
Crownbearers will be Emoree Green, daughter of Malina Green and Caleb Green, and Jack Lotter, son of Brandon and Libby Lotter.
The homecoming dance will be held following the football game in the school cafeteria, until 12 midnight.
