East Atchison Volleyball Teams hosted a Pink Out night Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in the Tarkio High School Gym. The jr. varsity and varsity teams competed in two matches and a number of special activities took place, including a bake sale, youth cheerleading performance, cancer victims’ recognition, senior parents’ night, and an auction. A total of $2,117.11 was raised from the events and will go to local residents fighting cancer. Heath and Jayme Higdon, who have refereed for local volleyball games for 20 years and now are retiring, were honored for their service at the Pink Out night. Jayme is also a Tarkio High School graduate.
