Grounds Control, LLC, owned and operated by Chris King of Tarkio since 2005, has moved to a new location in town. The lawn care service operation is now located in the former Levings Services building on Hwy. 59 in Tarkio. The building at 605 S. 10th Street, which was owned by the Levings family for many years, was sold this summer to King. Grounds Control now has a huge garage to store all of their lawn care equipment, as well as a main office.
Grounds Control provides total lawn care and landscape maintenance, as well as seeding, spring and fall clean-up, and snow removal. The company also recently purchased a backhoe.
Chris employs four seasonal workers, Dayton Murry, Garrett Meyer, Aaron Haer, and Danny Hogue, and also provides employment for students through Tarkio R-I School District’s school-to-work program.
