It’s time for Light Night!! Another fun-filled evening at the Fairfax City Park that you won’t want to miss. As always, it is the Saturday evening following Thanksgiving – November 25, 2017. There are many people from the community that help to make this night fun for everyone, and their help is greatly appreciated. The night will begin at 6 p.m. in the shelter house of the city park where there will be games, drawings, judging results, cookies and hot chocolate, singing and the annual turning on of the park lights by our own Miss Fairfax and Junior Miss Fairfax. If we are lucky, Santa might even show up on a fire truck and take time to talk with everyone down in the Boy Scout Cabin! After the opening activities in the shelter house, there will be games for kids to enjoy down on the basketball slab. Our HiSTEP/TNT helpers will be volunteering to help run the games. After visiting with Santa, every kid will receive a bag of goodies provided to them by the 4-H Club. Lots of fun activities are planned, so mark it on your calendar to attend this annual event. If you are interested in donating money to help sponsor this event, please contact Shelby Hurst, 660-253-0080. See you in the park!
