Tarkio Elementary students perform “Santa’s Playlist” at the winter concert December 14.

Tarkio Elementary, Jr. High, and High School actors, actresses, singers, and band members joined forces to put on a great show for their winter concert Thursday, December 14, 2017, in the Tarkio High School Gym.
The Tarkio 4th, 5th, and 6th grade presented “Santa’s Playlist” by Jacob Jacobson and Roger Emerson. The students performed: “Deck the Halls Opening,” “Merry Christmas in the Motor City,” “A Real Live Country Christmas,” “Broadway Lights,” “Just a Little R&R,” “The Sounds of Christmas,” and “Santa’s Holiday Play­list.” The cast of characters included: Santa – Ian Stepp; Mrs Claus – Tommy Martin; Elf 1 – Hadyn Liechti; Elf 2 – Lexi Bywater; Elf 3 – Dalaynie Drummond; Elf 4 – Emma Viets; El f 5 – Rayleigh Nance; Crystal – Claire Martin; Noel – Brooklyn Wennihan; Corporal – Garret Rosenbohm; Soldiers – David Shaw, Drew Johnson, and Caiden Caudill; Dasher – Jersi Poppa; Recently Downloaded – Jozee Eaton; Rudolph – Alex Barnett; Prancer – Emmy Laur; Donner – Addie Noland; Vixen – Keena Merriweather; Comet – Drew Sanders; Captain 1 – Weston Klosek; Captain 2 – Jacobi Hogue; and Private – Linkin Murry.
The 5th grade band also performed the following selections: “5 Note Scale,’ “Rolling Along,” “Hot Cross Buns,” and “Jingle Bells.”
The 6th grade band also performed, playing: “Chorale,” “Up On a Housetop,” “Barn Dance Saturday Night,” and “Jingle, Jolly Christmas.”
Fourth grade singers included: Robbie Armstrong, Hunter Blum, Dylan Drummond, Emily Gebhards, Ja­nae Harbin, Bresayda Ji­menez, Zoe Madron, Bo Peregrine, Britney Ritchie, Brayden Smith, Quin Staten, Kaydin Vogler, Carter Wennihan, Kennedy White, Makinzee Brion, Darika Bywater, Jina Harbit, Kale Lekey, Mason McMahon, Rainy Nordhausen, Adrienne Phillips, Raelee Russell, Riley Sachs, Olivia Schafer, Jacob Stanton, Isaac Vette, Izabella Wallace, and Jaeka Wiley.
Fifth grade band and choir members included: Cameron Brooks, Kamryn Brown, Sydnee Bruns, Cady Jo Burton, Brezie Bywater, Makenna Carder, Charley Caudill, Cayden Gibson, Colton Hall, Jillian Hannah, Gabe Harms, Connor Morton, Jacob Shubkagel, Alyson Wooten, Savannah Caldwell, Levi Brown, Madison Caudill, Haylee Clark, Owen DeRosier, River Dow, Alex Erickson, Abbie Harms, Andrew Kirkpatrick, Jaxon Liechti, Luke Morey, Madison Quattrocchi, Lizzie Schlueter, and Teagen Wennihan.

The jr. high and high school bands and choirs performed the Sounds of the Season. The jr. high band performed, “Trombo Mambo,” “Danny Boy,” “Swingin’ & A Ho! Ho! Ho!”. High school guitarists, Colin Joesting, Melissa Lang, and Madison Ohrt, played “What Child is This? (Greensleeves)” and “Jolly Old St. Nick.” The high school band performed “A Holiday Swing-Along,” “Christmas Time with Charlie Brown,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” High school band members include: Flute – Dixie Hendrix (who also assisted the jr. high); Clarinet – Harley Caudill; Alto Saxophone – Jae Barnett, Cheyenne Gray, Grace Martin, Brynnan Poppa, Shaylee Sparks, and Bryli Staten; Tenor Saxophones – Anna Klute and Morgan Parshall; Baritone saxophone – Mercedes Parshall and Lexi Somerville; Horn – Ella Rolf; Trumpets – Devin Guajardo, Madison Ohrt, Zach Sapp, and Corben Bothwell; Trombone – Jordyn Hogue (who also assisted the jr. high); Percussion – Colin Joesting and Jimi Elder.
The high school choir performed “The First Noel/Pachelbel’s Canon” and “Be the Hero!” from Big Fish.
