The East Atchison Lady Wolves varsity basketball team has been unstoppable this season. With only one loss so far, the girls have become a powerhouse, taking down the competition and usually winning by around 20 points. Though Jaycee Graves has definitely put her name on the “high-scorers’ board” in the northwest region by becoming an unbeatable force on the court (she scored 33 points in last Tuesday’s contest against Nodaway-Holt), the other Lady Wolves are not far behind with continual two digit totals being put up by three or more players and the rest adding the extra points to get the win.
The girls took the Northwest Missouri Tournament by storm this past week and won the championship by defeating Worth County on Saturday, January 27, 2018, in Burlington Junction. The girls continue to make East Atchison a much-talked about team and as they stand five games back from Districts (as of 1/27/18), they go on strong with a 19-1 overall record and an undefeated 275 Conference record of 8-0.
