The Atchison-Holt Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Public School Personnel (MRTA) Unit will meet Thursday, March 1, at the Fairfax Presbyterian Church. Each member is to bring a potluck item to be served for lunch. Sign-in will begin at 11 a.m. with the meal at 11:30 a.m. The program will be presented by the MDT Woodworking of Fairfax. Our unit yearly dues of $10 will be collected. If you cannot attend, please send your payment to treasurer, Rana Killingsworth at 309 West Elm Street, Skidmore. State dues of $35 were due January 1.
Any retired educator is welcome to attend. The number one priority of MRTA is to promote and protect pensions, programs, and benefits of all public school personnel in retirement.  Our COLA increase for 2018 was a direct result of MRTA members contacting our state senators and representatives and the PSRS Board of Directors. Come join us and help us stand strong.
All Holt County and Atchison County superintendents, principals, and school board members are invited to attend any or all of our meetings. Their concerns are our concerns.
Again, this year all members are asked to bring a monetary donation to be given to the local food pantry.
Requests for membership forms or questions can be directed to Phyllis Dannar, 660-446-3479 or cdannar@ofmlive.net.
