The Senior Class Parents of Tarkio R-I have been busily planning for the 2018 After Prom Bash. After Prom parties were originally designed to help keep kids safe during prom time by giving them an alternative to parties that may otherwise have a more deviant flare. While it is understood that one could choose deviance any other day of the year, for this particular day, kids are entertained with positive activities in a safe environment, perhaps motivating them toward better choices in the future.
The After Prom Committee is shaking things up and fundraising a bit differently this year. Committee parents are being asked to contribute a specified amount of money. This is done in lieu of lots of individual fundraisers in which the parents have little time or resources for. To boost their financial resources, the parent committee is offering a way that residents can help. You have an opportunity to sponsor a single student or couple with a $40 or $80 donation. Your donation will help pay for the venue, rental costs for all activities planned and refreshments so that the committee can create a memorable adventure for all. In addition, you won’t have to buy more wrapping paper, pumpkin rolls or trash bags. And no one will ask you to tour your home or garden.
Should you choose to participate in this no fundraiser, fundraiser . . . you may deposit your gift at the Farmers State Bank under “2018 After Prom Bash.” Donations will be accepted until April 4. The Parent Committee appreciates all your contributions to make the evening a great success for this year’s Prom Bash participants.
