• The Atchison County Sheriff’s Department’s 6th Grade D.A.R.E. Program Graduation was held Friday, March 26, 1993. Frank White, former second baseman for the Kansas City Royals, was the guest speaker.

March 28, 1968
• A teletype machine was installed in the Hertz Commodities branch office at First National Bank. The machine will receive all commodities market reports, all livestock market reports, feeder cattle prices and movements, and grain markets throughout the day.

April 2, 1943
• Miss Tsiu Chen Kuan of the National Council of Church Women of Peking, China, was a visitor at Tarkio College last Wednesday and Thursday. She spoke at a special chapel and before the YMCA and YWCA.
