Anna “Teddy” Dolores Bennett was born on May 30, 1932. The daughter of Lucille Pauline Brown and Hayden Columbus Bowlin, she grew up in Tarkio, Missouri. She moved to northern Colorado with her husband Lee and two oldest children in the early 60s. Anna was the mother of seven children: Becky (Tom) Atlanta, Georgia, Cindy (Jeff) Aurora, Colorado, Doug (Kim) Red Oak, Iowa, Maryann (Doug) Thornton, Colorado, Leatha (Lee) Rexburg, Indiana, Tom (Pat) Lafayette, Georgia, Steve (Naveen) Denver, Colorado and the grandmother of seven: Sara (Zach), Josh, Ashley (Ricky), Brandon, Maggie, Leatha, and Amanda; and one great-grandchild, Oliver.
Anna passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in Colorado.
Anna returned to school at the age of 50 to pursue a career in nursing. She celebrated holidays with great enthusiasm. Her kids will always remember baby bunnies at Easter that she loved to dye with egg dye and train boxcars around the Christmas tree filled with treats! She loved Star Trek and on her next to last day on this earth she was watching a newer release of the movie. Her kids will always remember keeping baby chicks in the shower, disciplining ornery Shetland ponies, belly dancers, a huge Bronco fan and flower stickers on a VW Bug. She loved to read and adored her cats. She will be missed!
