The beautiful soda fountain which has been a part of the Chamberlain drug store equipment was removed Monday night and taken to Burlington Junction, having been purchased by a business man of that town some time ago. Practically all stock has also been sold and taken out of the store.

It finally arrived! Rock Port’s new $28,000 fire truck.  The Rock Port Volunteer Fire Department swarmed over it like kids with a new toy. The new fire fighting equipment was delivered in Rock Port Wednesday evening and the firemen were out in force trying out the big red truck on the streets of Rock Port trying all the buttons and getting the feel of the most modern engine in the area.

Anna McKenney, Rock Port, was one of 13 individuals recognized as Star Area Farmer at the State FFA Convention, April 16. McKenney, daughter of Tony and Phyllis McKenney, was chosen from Area I recipients of the State FFA Degree, the highest state degree. Area I includes 22 schools in northwest Missouri.
The Rock Port Blue Jays traveled to Sidney on Thursday, April 15, to club it out with the Cowboys. The weather was very cold and rainy, but the Blue Jays pulled out another victory, winning 173-184. The individual results were: Mark Bennington, 43; Cory Scamman, 44; Jason Stephens, 44; Michael Phelps, 46 and Tad Gebhards with a 43.
