The Rock Port Board of Aldermen met at Rock Port City Hall on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. with Mayor Chris Chamberlain presiding. Board members present were Ron Deatz, Tim Taylor and Lavon Paukert. Alderman Todd Stevens was absent. Also present were City Superintendent Trevor Hale, Chief of Police Shannon Sherwood, Deputy Clerk Emily Schulte and City Clerk Ashtin Paris. Visitors were W.C. Farmer, Paul Stramaglia and Mario Stramaglia.
Mayor Chamberlain called the meeting to order. Taylor moved to approve the meeting agenda. Deatz seconded. All votes aye.
Paul and Mario Stramaglia of The Overland Group came to discuss location prospects for a potential Dollar General store. A parcel of City owned property fitting the necessary specs needed was suggested. It was decided The Overland Group would have their engineers take a look at the property and get back with the City in regards to how each party would like to proceed.
The City clean-up was deemed a success as 2 dumpsters were filled. Mayor Chamberlain expressed his appreciation for the City employees working the event.
Deatz moved to adjourn. Paukert seconded. All votes aye.
