Tarkio R-I Elementary students were recognized for their outstanding achievements for the 2017-18 school year. The 1st-3rd graders (above) and the 4th-6th graders (at right) were honored for their Accelated Read­er (AR) points, per­fect attendance, math and science skills, writing, and classroom conduct. The teachers in each grade also awarded special awards that de­scribe the students’ individual personalities (like the squeaky clean award). Librarian Dallas Prather also recognized 14 students who read over 1 million words this year. This is a HUGE achievement which has seen the number of readers and pages rise over the years. Several of the 14 children read over 2 million or 3 million words. Whatever the award, if you have an elementary student, pat them on the back for these awesome achievements!
