Tarkio R-I Elementary students were recognized for their outstanding achievements for the 2017-18 school year. The 1st-3rd graders (above) and the 4th-6th graders (at right) were honored for their Accelated Reader (AR) points, perfect attendance, math and science skills, writing, and classroom conduct. The teachers in each grade also awarded special awards that describe the students’ individual personalities (like the squeaky clean award). Librarian Dallas Prather also recognized 14 students who read over 1 million words this year. This is a HUGE achievement which has seen the number of readers and pages rise over the years. Several of the 14 children read over 2 million or 3 million words. Whatever the award, if you have an elementary student, pat them on the back for these awesome achievements!
