The Trojanettes 10 and under team traveled to Olathe, Kansas, for a tournament the weekend of June 16-17. The 1st game Saturday was against the KC Phoenix. Behind the no hit pitching of Hadley Defreece of Ravenwood the Trojanettes came out on top 8-0. Defreece allowed only 2 walks and struck out 7.  Leading the offense was Alayna Shepherd of Clarinda with a two RBI double. Riley Stewart of Wathena added an RBI single. Also driving in a run were Emalee Langford of Barnard, Siarrah George of Savannah, Mia Jackson of Wathena, Ella Eckley of Maryville, and Maggie Osburn of Fairfax.
Game 2 Saturday was against the Lady Dragons. Samantha Gripka of Maysville and the Dragons’ pitcher were in a pitcher’s duel until the last inning when the Dragons scored 4 runs to win the game 5-2. Gripka struck out 11 and allowed only 4 hits. Langford and Shepherd led the offense with RBI doubles.
On a day of 100 degree temperatures a tired Trojanette team faced the Diamonds and was defeated 4-0 in the final game Saturday.
In the 1st game Sunday Defreece spun a 1 hit shutout and the Trojanettes won 8-0 over the Atchison Stingers. Gripka had two singles at the plate to drive in two runs. George had two RBI double. Langford had two singles and drove in one run. Eckley had an RBI single and Defreece had two hits. Janie Grable of Clarksdale, Stewart, and Jackson added singles.
In the final game the Trojanettes lost to SKC Outlaws 6-1. Emalee Langford had an RBI double.
