The Commission met June 19, 2018. Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood, South District Commissioner Richard Burke, North District Commissioner Jim Quimby, and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission.
Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills were reviewed, approved and ordered paid.
The commission agreed to move forward with seeking sealed bids for a new heating and cooling system for the courthouse. Clerk Taylor will begin preparing documents needed for the process.
The commissioners voted to move into closed session per RSMo Section 610.021 (17) to review the draft audit report for 2016 and 2017. North District Commissioner
They voted to move out of closed session and return to regular session.
The financial auditors, Aaron Rhodenbaugh, CPA, audit manager, and Ross Wiley, staff auditor with McBride, Lock & Associates, LLC, were in to meet with the commission and report that they are beginning the financial audit for 2016 and 2017. They reported they will focus on all offices that accept fees. They expect to work onsite for two weeks. This audit is provided by the State.
Road and Bridge Supervisor Adam Meyer was in to discuss department matters.
Sheriff Dennis Martin reported that he has hired Karen Miller full time at the Sheriff’s office.
