Ashtin (Paris) Higgins has served the Rock Port community as City Clerk for nearly 11 years. This week marked her last days at City Hall. She has recently married and will be moving to Naper, Nebraska.

Rock Port Mayor Chris Chamberlain says that Ashtin will be missed by all of the city representatives and community.
“Ashtin has played a vital role in the continued development and improvement in the operations of Rock Port City government. Her grant writing and pursuit of more efficient ways to manage city interests have been very beneficial to the entire city, office staff, and board over her career. She has displayed professionalism and due diligence with the City Clerk position. We wish her well, and thank her for assisting our new City Clerk, Emily Schulte, during the transitional period.”

Emily Schulte was appointed the city clerk at the Board of Aldermen meeting on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
