The Watson Quilters met Thursday night and we made cancer quilt blocks. We are still are a few short. Those attending were Holly Holmes, Tammy Oakes, Donna Whelan, Fran Phillips, Frances Nahkunst, Kathy Sloop, Linda Viets, Anita Armstrong, and Kay Gibson.
The Watson Fire Department will be holding their second annual fishing tournament on Saturday, August 18. It will begin at 6 a.m. at the Watson boat dock and will end at 3 p.m. It is a rod and reel event only. You can enter one fish. Prizes will be given to the three biggest fish by weight. Fish can be tossed back after weighing in or kept by the contestant. The entry fee is $20 per person and it is to help raise money for the Watson Fire Department. There will be a free will donation fish fry that evening at 5 p.m. at the Watson Community building. Come one, come all, to fish for a prize or to eat fish.
ROBOTS?
Did you ever try to get on some website and before they will let you enter, they ask, “Are you a robot?” Then you have to rewrite all these numbers to prove you are not a robot. Theirs are slanted, upside down, and mine never match. Or you have to tell which boxes have the fire plug in them. I can’t get those right either. Sooo am I a robot?
Here’s a little poem I would like to put on those websites, but alas, I am not allowed to enter.
Why be so uptight?
Do you think a robot can write?
Ok, so he might.
