June 28 through July 2, 2018, Hannah Miller, Kelcie Gaines, and Beth Davis from the Rock Port High School FCCLA chapter attended the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. The conference took place in Atlanta, Georgia. The three competitors had the privilege to attend Nationals because they received a gold at the Missouri State Conference in Lake of the Ozarks.

“I loved Nationals and would recommend for everyone to make it a goal to go. The workshops were amazing and taught others to be better leaders,” said Hannah Miller, graduate of the 2018 class.

“National FCCLA was one of the best experiences of my life. I made many new connections and new friends I will have for life. I bettered myself overall as a person and as a leader. It was an honor to represent RPHS in Atlanta!” said Beth Davis, upcoming junior.

“We would really like to thank all of the people and organizations who donated to make our trip possible. A huge thank you to our amazing sponsor Crystal Goins for organizing the trip and working so hard for us,” said Kelcie Gaines, 2018-19 senior.

The FCCLA National Leadership Conference was a great way for all competitors to know their hard work paid off. The RPHS girls received a silver at Nationals, but were still pleased with their performance.
