Tarkio/Westboro Minister–ial Alliance has launched its annual “Adopt-a-Child Christmas Program.” This year, Tarkio will be handling the adoptions for Fairfax also. Applicants should apply this year through Community Services or the Tarkio First Baptist Church. The purpose of the “Adopt-a-Child” program is to provide assistance for families, who have found themselves in a situation that hinders them from providing for Christmas.
Qualified families or individuals may apply for adoption beginning Tuesday, September 4, through Wednesday, November 21, at noon (no applications will be taken after that date. No exceptions.) You may call Community Services at 660-736-4646 for an appointment or stop by the Tarkio First Baptist Church from 8 a.m. til 12 noon. Organizations or individuals wishing to “Adopt-a-Child” may do so by going to the Tarkio First Baptist Church starting on November 5.
Drop-offs for organizations/individuals will be December 1-12th. Items can be dropped and picked up from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon at the Tarkio First Baptist Church (special pick-up/drop-off ar-rangements can be made by calling the church at 660-736-4129 or Joan at 660-253-0087).
