Patricia “Pat” Jean (Stewart) Sherer, 89, was born on November 21, 1928, to Edgar and Letha (Strickler) Stewart. She graduated from Fairfax High School in 1946 and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.

Pat is survived by two daughters, Patricia Heitman of Auburn, Nebraska, and Janet Green of Redmond, Washington; six grandchildren, Heidi (Joe) Unternahrer of Tarkio, Missouri, Trudy (Rebel) Herron of Fairfax, Missouri; Patricia (Chris) Williamson of Palmyra, Missouri, Katie (Aaron) Murphy of Barnard, Missouri, Dustin (Aspen Richter) Green of Redmond, Washington; Alexis Green of Redmond, Washington; seven great-grandchildren: Viviane and Vera Hale of Tarkio, Missouri, Claire and Luke Williamson of Palmyra, Missouri, and Tycho, Robin, and Isaac Richter Green of Redmond, Washington.

Pat was involved with youth leadership education for many years. She was a volunteer 4-H leader, a field advisor and camp director for the Girl Scouts of America, and a council director for the Camp Fire Girls. Pat acquired a home computer as soon as they were available and used it in all aspects of her daily activities. She was an avid gardener and an accomplished seamstress. Pat loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and bird-watching.

Pat passed away on September 20, 2018, at her home in Redmond, Washington.
