The Tarkio Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring a scarecrow contest for Tarkio citizens and businesses. Some of the scarecrows set up in the past have ranged from a group of Minions taking over, a scarecrow checking under the hood of a truck, a veterinarian examining his animals, a newspaper reader checking on the news while in an outhouse, and much more. Get creative and most importantly, have fun with it! First, second, and third place recognitions will be given to the best scarecrows and their pictures will run in the newspaper.
