Fairfax’s annual Light Night will be Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Fairfax City Park. The night’s activities will begin at 6 p.m. at the shelter house, where hot chocolate and cookies will be served. Miss Fairfax Jaycee Graves will flip the switch to light up the park.
Activities will include games for kids on the basketball slab, and a drawing will be held for presents for kids and families.
Santa will meet the kids at the Boy Scout Cabin with the assistance of Junior Miss Fairfax Payton Woodring.
Clubs, organizations, businesses, and families are encouraged to set up a light display in the park. Prizes will be awarded for park displays as well as for decorated business fronts.
If you would like to make a monetary donation that will go towards purchasing presents for Light Night, contact Tracy Oswald or Jill Kingery.
