The Community Hospital Auxiliary’s May meeting was held on May 16, 2019, in the conference room at the hospital. The meeting opened with 15 members reciting the Auxiliary Prayer.
The secretary’s and the treasurer’s reports from the March meeting were approved as presented. Our regularly scheduled April meeting was canceled as we had a conflict of dates with our Spring Bake Sale.
The Sunshine Corner Gift shop has lots of new items including clothing items arriving continuously. We have a new supply of Baker’s Chocolates – especially the new Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels. They are delicious!
Our bake sale in April and our plant sale in May were both very successful. We appreciate everyone’s support. The Auxiliary uses the proceeds from our fund raisers and the Sunshine Corner Gift Shop to purchase equipment and for other needs of the hospital.
Our annual Atchison County Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, June 1, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. You can take any outdated, or unused prescriptions, or over the counter medications to any of the following places where they will be dealt with appropriately: in Fairfax – Community Hospital-Fairfax parking lot; in Tarkio – Farmers State Bank parking lot; and in Rock Port – Citizens Bank & Trust. It’s important to dispose of them safely to protect our environment and avoid their misuse.
Our next monthly meeting will be Thursday, June 20, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in the hospital conference room. We welcome anyone who would like to come and learn more about our volunteer organization.
