The Marching Blue Jays embarked on their second early morning adventure Saturday morning, leaving Rock Port at 4:15 a.m. for Trenton Band Day. The band participated in parade (7-12), indoor auxiliary, and field. They had a rainy morning for the parade but did very well. The band placed second in Field competition; third in Parade, and third in Indoor Auxiliary. Abby Palmer, Band and Choir Director, said, “I am so glad it worked to add the junior high to the high school parade portion. It not only makes the junior high stronger musicians and marchers but turned our 23 piece band into 43 strong!” Ashleigh King, left, and Rebekah Lucas, right, are pictured with the band’s trophies.
