Community Hospital Auxiliary met October 17 at 1:30 p.m. in the conference room at Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, Missouri. The meeting began with 15 members and two guests present and was opened with the reciting of the auxiliary prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting and the treasurer’s report were approved as presented.

Gail Heitman and Chelsea Miller, representing the Senior Life Solutions, gave an informative presentation on their program. They also thanked our organization for the cheery tray favors we create for their lunch trays. They were also appreciative of our monetary donation towards the healing garden that connects their building with the hospital. We learned Senior Life Solutions is a self-referred program and anyone can call and register any time.

We are still selling tickets for chances to win our beautiful quilt. It can be seen outside the Sunshine Corner Gift Shop. It will also be displayed at the Gift Shop on Shop Atchison County night, November 21, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. You may purchase chances as you shop our Gift Shop that night or from any Auxiliary member.

Our next meeting will be November 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hospital Conference Room. We will have our Fall Bake Sale on Tuesday, November  26, from 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. We will have our Angel Memorial Tree set up in the hospital lobby on November 21. You may purchase an angel in memory of a loved one who has passed or in honor of someone you want to recognize with love. With each angel placed on the tree, the person purchasing the angel receives a lace angel to place on their tree at home.

We are always happy to welcome new members and anyone is welcome and encouraged to join us!
