Quilt Show/

Vendor Market

Over 200 visitors signed in to the quilt exhibit and 90 quilts were entered. Additionally, 26 vendors set up for the vendor market. The Rock Port junior class assisted in event set-up and cleanup. Board members voted unanimously to donate the vendor fee income of $780 to the junior class for their assistance at the Quilt Show & Vendor Market.

Turbine Site

The Board of Aldermen has requested a new bid for turbine site maintenance to be advertised as the city does not have time to take over the maintenance at this time. The site maintenance agreement will be discussed at the January meeting.

Shop AC Night

Jennifer Alvarez volunteered to coordinate a free-will donation hot chocolate and cider bar on Main Street the evening of Shop AC Night. Multiple local donation options will be available.

Christmas Decorations

It is too late in the year to purchase large decorations, but there is still an interest to put up smaller items on Main Street before Shop AC Night. Emily will contact MIRMA regarding the liability and the Tourism Board members will be responsible for presenting this idea to the Board of Aldermen and getting any supplies necessary.

Larger Christmas decorations for 2020 will be discussed at an upcoming meeting.

Upcoming Topics

Other upcoming topics will include appointing a replacement vice chairman, a possible logo contest, and events for 2020.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was then adjourned.
