December 15, 1944

S/Sgt. and Mrs. Conley Bennington are the parents of their first baby, a boy, born at the Hamburg hospital Thursday, December 7. The baby has been named Ronald Lee. Sgt. Bennington arrived Monday from base at Deming, New Mexico, to make the acquaintance of his son.

Dear Santa, My name is Marion Lingerfelt. I am 5 years old. For Christmas I would like to have  Newborn Thumbelina with cradle, brush and mirror and comb set, a dollhouse, a big long sled. I have tried to be a good girl. I will leave cookies and milk out for you. Thank you.
