East Atchison fans and athletes will celebrate their Winter Homecoming Friday, February 14, 2020. Both Fairfax and Tarkio schools will participate in week-long activities leading up to the East Atchison basketball games that Friday night in Fairfax versus North Nodaway. The kings and queens will be crowned following the games.
Tarkio High School Winter Homecoming royalty includes: Queen Taylor Stanton; Briacin Bywater, Gus Hurst, and Ashton Yeary, king candidates; and attendants – Harley Caudill and Hunter Bennett (juniors), Haley Garrison and Kaylin Merriweather (sophomores), and Faith Anderson and Tanner Rollins (freshmen).
Tarkio special activities include:
• Homecoming Dress-up Days – Thursday, Wolves’ Spirit Day; and Friday, No School.
• Homecoming Class Contests – Thursday, Lip Sync Battle and Cheerleaders perform in Fairfax for the pep rally; and Friday, no school.
Fairfax High School Winter Homecoming royalty includes: McKenzie Frohn, Jesse Graves, and Kilea Cooper, queen candidates; King Wyatt Burke; and Ian Hedlund and Josh Smith, attendants.
The Fairfax students will be participating in the following dress-up days: Wednesday – TV Show Couple; Thursday – 100 Year Old You Day; and Friday – Spirit Day.
A pep rally will be held on Thursday in Fairfax. Classes from both schools will perform songs in a lip sync battle. The winners will be announced at halftime of the boys’ basketball game.
Students are invited to a 5th quarter celebration after the coronation.
