The children in Ms. Amy’s and Ms. Katie’s classroom at Atchison County Head Start in Rock Port, Missouri, have been very busy preparing for Thanksgiving. They are all very excited to enjoy their own Thanksgiving feast and have shared recipes on how they would cook a turkey!

Zaydyn – Cook it in the oven. Use gloves.

Abel – Cook it in the oven. The oven should be on 100 and when the timer beeps it’s done.

Kyler – Get a turkey in the woods. You have to pull it with a knife. Put pepper – a lot of pepper – on the turkey. Cook it on the fire for 5 minutes. Then you eat it.

Declan – Get a turkey at the store. Put the turkey in the oven – push it in there. Put strawberries, blueberries and syrup on the turkey. I want everything on the turkey. I don’t know what temperature to put the oven on. Leave the turkey in for 3 hours. Blow on it because it’s hot. Eat chicken nuggets and French fries with it. Then go to sleep.

Caiden – Get a turkey from the office. Just put the turkey in the oven. Put the oven on very hot. Leave it in for 2 seconds. Cook noodles and macaroni. Then take the turkey out and put sugar on it. Finish the noodles and macaroni in the microwave. Then eat it.

Cesar – Put the turkey on the fire. The fire is hot. Then eat it.

Cartyr – Buy the turkey at the store. Put it in a pan in the oven. Put a sauce in it with some ketchup. Leave it in the oven for 4 minutes. Put the oven on 3 degrees. When it’s done, take it out of the oven and eat it.

Niya – Get a turkey at the blue store. Cook it at home. Cook it in the microwave really fast. Then put the turkey on the fire outside. I play outside when it’s cooking. When it’s done, get the turkey out. Then you can eat it.

Oaklee – Get a turkey at Mamaw’s. Cook it on the fire. Leave it on the fire for 400 minutes. Then eat it.
