Katelynn Z. Ottmann, daughter of Chad and Mandy Ottmann and 2022 graduate of Rock Port High School, has recently become a published illustrator. Her work is showcased in a children’s book called “In the Desert,” written by Maddy Gawler. The book is now available through Amazon.

Kate has been honing her art skills since she began selling her artwork when she was 12. Although she illustrated one children’s book (and is now working on another), her passion lies in realism artwork, specifically her paintings. Her other passion lies in her study of biology and more particularly wildlife biology and conservation. She has attended the University of Denver the past year and a half, but hopes to continue her education in Montana in the fall.
