• The redecoration of the dining room of Marshall Hall on the Tarkio College campus was completed during the Easter recess. The color scheme consists of light green on the ceiling and nile green walls with mahogany enamel on the woodwork. The flowered draperies have been designed and made by Darlene Crane, Blanchard, Iowa, freshman, and Beth Ann Croskey, Parkville, freshman.
• Dr. J.J. Osuna, dean of the college of education, University of Puerto Rico, will deliver an address next Friday evening at the United Presbyterian Church. Dr. Osuna is a man of attractive personality, an able speaker, and a distinguished educator. He began his education in the schools of the island before the American occupation. In 1901, he was selected as one of a group of gifted children to continue his education in the states. Dr. Osuna is well-known in Tarkio, visiting here on numerous occasions at the home of his father-in-law, Dr. J.A. Thompson.

• Newly installed on Main Street near the Hy-Klas Food Market is a Goodwill collection box for usable materials which will assist the Goodwill Industries in offering the handicapped “not charity, but a chance.” Sale of the reconditioned articles in Goodwill stores bring in the principal source of income for Goodwill Industries, a “non-profit enterprise with a heart.”
• The Business and Professional Women’s League of Tarkio will have a covered dish supper April 16, at the Community Building. There will be a one-act play given by Tarkio High School students under direction of Miss Rebecca Dwyer.

• A Ribbon Cutting and Open House was held at R & D Repair in Tarkio on Friday, April 8. Members of the Tarkio Chamber of Commerce, family and well wishers attended the event, including owners and operators Richard and Debbie Tullis.
• Members of the Tarkio High School student body will present Neil Simon’s play, “Fools A Comic Fable” on Friday and Sunday, April 15 and 17, 1994, at the high school auditorium. The students are under the direction of Billie Schneider, Nannette Stepp, and Theresa VanFosson.
